Michael Cooper joined REDI.E as an organisation that can assist with challenges that are faced in Australia – from workforce development, to the underutilisation of local people in communities – especially in regional Australia. Being an Aboriginal man who has grown up in Dubbo and travelled across the Western NSW, Michael has seen many of the issues in these communities on the ground level. He has extensive experience in planning and development more importantly the implementation using many skill sets in:
Michael has a demonstrated history and focus of working across many industry sectors, from the private sector, Non-for-Profit Organisations and Government. His modus operandi and passion is to deliver results for Aboriginal people in skills development and employment – and to open opportunities for future generations.
Michael joined REDI.E because he saw the role as Employment Services Manager as a unique opportunity to be part of building the organisation into the premier Employment Services Provider in Australia. His goal for REDI.E is to address the workforce development needs in Regional Australia for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Michael believes employment is the greatest enabler towards changing the landscape to address social barriers. He looks forward to continuing to assist people to break down walls and provide real career opportunities with effective development of employability skills.
