Joy Martin and Annette Coath, from the local job service agency, went above and beyond to ensure that jobseeker Neil Harvey-Christian didn’t miss out on a crucial appointment in Murrinbridge.
Despite Neil not being able to travel to the town, the two women made the effort to meet him at a park in Euabalong, where he lives with his grandmother.
Neil, who doesn’t have a driver’s license, was thrilled with the gesture, and expressed his gratitude.
During their meeting, Neil asked for assistance in paying for his driver’s license, which Joy and Annette gladly agreed to help with. They also provided resources for courses at Tafe, ensuring Neil has the support he needs to further his career prospects.
Thanks to the dedication of Joy and Annette, Neil is now better equipped to attend his future appointments and pursue his career goals. This heartwarming story is a shining example of the positive impact that small acts of kindness can have within a community.
