REDI.E has donated tools to the Butcher in Mungindi, to help get the people back on their feet after fire tore through the town, destroying key landmarks.
Earlier this month, fire destroyed the only butcher and supermarket in town, as well as a clothing store and a residential flat - leaving the community without essential supplies.
The fire destroyed all the Butcher’s tools and work area, meaning he has been unable to do his job.
With morale low and the community anxious, Joe Flick, a Gamilaroi and Yuwaalaraay man, approached REDI.E and asked for help.
REDI.E purchased butchers tools from the Dubbo Meat Centre, including knives, steel to sharpen them and the belt to put them in.
The butcher will now be able to operate on a mobile basis.
Joe came to our Dubbo office to pick them up - he then delivered them to the butcher in Mungindi.
Sometimes it’s the small things that make all the difference!
