It’s been a busy month for REDI.E, with our team attending some important events - the Indigenous Business Trade Fair in Dubbo, and the Bourke Careers Expo.
The Indigenous Business Trade Fair was hosted by the National Indigenous Australian Agency (NIAA) and Supply Nation
- a key partnership of our organisation.
Our team had a great day networking with industry professionals. They also participated in a presentation of the updates to the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) delivered by NIAA.
The event was opened by a Welcome to Country from Aunty Narelle (Peckham) and Lewis Burns and an official opening by Rebecca Lennan (NIAA) and Jenny Wardrop (Supply Nation) before exhibitors were left to mingle.
It was great to see such a large number of indigenous businesses attending and we can’t wait to begin some exciting initiatives with these great new partners.
While earlier in the month, our VTEC
team attended the Bourke Careers Expo.
This was held at the local school and was attended by students and job seekers, with exhibitors from surrounding areas promoting their products.
It was a fantastic chance for our team to chat with people in the community about how they can further their education and open the doors to opportunity.
Both events were very successful! Our team loves getting out and about to network and meet with potential clients.
This initiative is funded/supported by the Australian Government.
