Job seekers excel at local TAFE course

Participants of MPREC’s ‘Cobar Community Activity Kits’ work-for-the-dole program have completed a five day TAFE course in Hospitality through TAFE NSW at Cobar College.
Nine job seekers attended the Hospitality Legal Essential course at the local TAFE which was made up of five different units:
  1. Food Hygiene
  2. Prepare and serve coffee
  3. Non-alcoholic beverages
  4. Responsible Service of Alcohol
  5. Responsible Gambling Service
All those who attended will receive a statement of attainment in Hospitality Legal Essentials as well as their RSA and RCG cards. 
The feedback from everyone who participated was very positive, with many saying they felt a great sense of achievement and they’re looking forward to the next course.  With their RSA and RCG cards, the participants are gaining job ready skills.



Good training is essential to meeting good sustainable employment outcomes for jobseekers, employers and the whole community.
