Two of REDI.E’s Cobar clients have been contributing to the local State Emergency Services, making a huge difference for their community.
Helen Boddy and Kala Ohlsen have been working hard with the local rescue team. Helen is a Commander of the team, showing leadership and dedication.
Both ladies also represented the SES at the Cobar show. They put together brochures and giveaways for the crowd, which was appreciated by everyone.
They also chatted to members of the public, answering questions about how the SES works and how to become a volunteer.
The SES has given these women a fantastic opportunity to give back to their people. It has given them a passion and they are doing important work in their respective roles. It also allows them to complete their mutual obligation hours.
Kala maintains the vehicles and keeps all equipment clean and ready to go for any
Helen keeps the records and completes office work like filing, while making sure everything is up to date.
It is truly a pleasure to hear about the wonderful work being done by our clients, in their communities.
This initiative is funded/supported by the Australian Government.
