Alice Edwards village in Bourke has undergone a major rejuvenation project, with help from MPREC clients and other members of the local community.
The improvements, which are extensive, included the removal of 27 cars to be sold as scrap metal, clearing of the basketball court and slashing of the football field with high grass knocked down.
In addition, empty blocks have been cleared of rubbish and debris and the village’s park has been made new and green again, boosting community pride, achievement and ownership of the area.
Now, the community are able to use and take pride in these shared spaces again. Well done, team!
