Dawn Towney, a representative from REDI.E, recently presented a slideshow showcasing the numerous initiatives the organization is involved in across the community. Dawn emphasized how REDI.E is helping to close the gap for young individuals by providing opportunities and support, not just for those in identified risk situations, but for all who may need it.

During the presentation, Dawn shared inspiring stories of how REDI.E supported kids by covering their registration fees and providing uniforms for sports events like the Big Knockout and Touch Knockout. This allowed children to participate who may not have been able to otherwise, highlighting the organization’s commitment to inclusion and opportunity for all.

Ila Toomey, another member of the REDI.E team, shared her personal journey with the organization, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. Dawn’s motto of “Don’t tell people what you do or how to do it… Show them” resonated with those in attendance, emphasizing the importance of leading by example.

Max Hill brought attention to the need for strong male role models in the out-of-home care space, signaling a future focus for REDI.E. Additionally, collaborations and potential partnerships were discussed with organizations such as Brothers of the Bush and the Department of Education, indicating a growing network of support and resources for the community.

Amanda, working with individuals with disabilities, expressed interest in utilizing REDI.E’s training facilities, showcasing the organization’s versatility in meeting the needs of various groups within the community.

Chantelle Ryan of Spear & Arrow, a NDIS service, also expressed interest in collaborating with REDI.E in the out-of-home care space, further expanding the organization’s reach and impact in the community.
