The boxing program is just one of several activities that have been held in the last few weeks.
They have ranged from using the new kitchen to hold a master chef type program. The participants were given a $10 voucher for the supermarket and 20 minutes to choose their ingredients, then 1 hour to prepare their meals. These were then judged on taste and presentation by a panel. The winner made sushi rolls!
The program has also hosted movie days and an Indigenous Hip Hop productions crew, who came from Melbourne to work with the youth to write a song and make a video clip.

REDI.E also engaged an artist to paint a mural on the front wall of the Youth Center. John Lewis from the Youth Centre advised the artist that they wanted an eagle and an emu as these are significant animals to the local people. Wheat and silos were also included, as farming is the major income for the area and felt it important to show all parts of the community as we are open to all.
This initiative is funded/supported by the Australian Government.
